Brothers Elmer and Ludwig Rosen begin buying livestock in rural areas and shipping them to St. Paul, Omaha, Sioux City and beyond.
1957
The Rosen family expands its operation into production, supplying feed, fertilizer and pharmaceuticals to farming communities.
1972
By observing and learning from his father and uncle, Tom Rosen joins the family business.
1974
The Rosen Brothers expand further by investing in a packing facility in Long Prairie, MN- marking the company’s entrance into the beef processing industry.
1976
Rosen’s Diversified acquires Rochester Fertilizer, propelling them further into the agribusiness of wholesale distribution.
1988
The Rosen Brothers continue to grow and invest in the beef process industry through the acquisition of Cimpl’s processing plant in South Dakota.
1991
Tom Rosen becomes CEO of Rosen's Diversified Inc.
1994
Rosen’s Inc. opens their new headquarters in Liberty, MO.
1997
Skylark Meats, in Omaha, NE is acquired by Rosen Meat Group.
2000
Another acquisition in the state of Nebraska, Gibbon Packing, allows the company to continue growing in the beef processing industry.
2005
American Foods Group is acquired. Rosen Meat Group merges into American Foods Group, LLC, expanding locations in Green Bay. This acquisition also includes America’s Service Line and America’s Logistics.
2015
Rosen's Diversified Inc enters into the biomedical industry by creating a new life sciences division, Scientific Life Solutions.
2015
SLS begins its portfolio with the addition of Midwest Research Swine out of Glencoe, MN. Midwest Research Swine specializes in manufacturing porcine-derived tissues and products that third parties will further process into medical products.
2019
By 2019 the third generation of the Rosen Family all became significantly involved in the family business.

Midwest Express joined the American Foods Group family to beef up the transportation fleet in the Midwest.
2020
Tom Rosen is awarded the Edward C. Jones Community Service Award by the North American Meat Institute.
2020
American Foods Group expands into cull sow and boar harvest with the purchase of Calihan Pork Processing in Peoria, Illinois.

SLS enters the collagen biomaterials market by acquiring Collagen Solutions, a global company headquartered out of Eden Prairie, MN., offering life-saving and sustaining solutions for medical devices, research, and regenerative medicine.
2021
SLS forms Xenova Sciences, a biotech API manufacturer based in the Midwest.

Another addition to the SLS family, American Bi-Products. Offering custom harvest of bovine offals for nutraceutical and chemical companies; based out of Fremont, NE.

American Foods Group breaks ground on a state-of-the-art beef harvest facility in Warren County, Missouri.

SLS continues to add to its portfolio of companies with the formation of American Authentic Nutrition, a research-based nutritional supplement company.
